the 32'nd annual Gilroy garlic festival just happened few days ago off Highway 101 in . . . Gilroy.
in this festival, people celebrate garlic.
they have garlic for sale, a garlic cook off, and several other festive things having garlic incorporated within them.

he belives that he will win fr sure his 3rd title.

apple- selling by the millions

despite the things people have said about the mac products, they have still been selling like hot cakes on a winter morning.

ipad - 3.27 million since launch

iphone 4 - 8.4 million (up 61%)

mac - 3.47 million (up 33%)

with the things said about the apple products like the ipad's simplicity, and the iphone 4's antenna problem, i thought people would think twice about buying the products, but there is no decrease in sales. What does " up by ... %" mean?

google

the old look of the image search on google has changed. now all the pictures are lined up with almost no gap in between. info is given when mouse is rolled over it. Plus, they have compressed several pages onto one page. this way, they can fit over 1000 pics per page

weather

the bay area has had one of the coolest summers this year. an average of 76.7°.

i wonder if the efforts to stop global warming are really working that well?

paleontologists have started to find many clues through their excavations to the history of the bay area. they have found camel teeth, fish scales, avocado leaf imprints, and many other things that shed some light on the bay area's past.

Apple - iphone 4

apple has proposed some solutions to the problem with the iphone 4
Problem: the iphone's antenna is on the bottom left hand corner. this causes problems while holding it

solutions:

1. get a free case called a bumper. (i think that the bumpers take away from the slick, and smooth look of the iphone 4)
2. put duct tape on the gap that holds the antenna end
3. hold it correctly:between the middle of your fingers, near the tips. (i feel that that is a very uncomfortable position to hold it in )
4. wear gloves. (who would wear gloves just to use their iphone?)

I truthfully was very startled, when i heard that apple missed such an obvious point.

The magnitude seems low, but not many earthquakes as big as that one occur on the east coast
